森田芳光执导的东宝公司60周年特别作，原作为《机器猫》的作者藤子不二雄，是一个类似《回到未来》的故事，获得1993年日本电影学院奖最佳音效奖。影片讲述漫画家纳户游子和从普通上班族变成平凡家庭主妇的金江银子，带着现在的记忆转生回10年前，两人利用未来的“记忆"，在工作、恋爱、金钱等各方面随心所欲、如鱼得水。影片中两位女主角是木村拓哉的老婆工藤静香和《赤桥下的暖流》中的清水美砂，另外还有藤子不二雄等多位漫画家以及唐泽寿明、铃木京香等大明星的客串，片尾曲则是威猛乐队的名曲“Last Christmas"，温馨感人。　　　　这部影片引人注目点是在剧本原作上。藤子·F·不二雄，一提《机器猫》大家可能立即恍然大悟。创造了那个日本漫画史上最受欢迎的形象的人，是一个头脑中充满着瑰奇想象的作者，这部开创“昨日重来”之风的影片，便是根据他的漫画作品所改变。　　也许因为剧本的写作者是漫画作者，两位关键女性中的一位：纳户游子的身份也正是一个漫画家。在她“正常”的人生中，她是一个事业、爱情上皆不得志的女性，十年前曾有一次作品出版的机会，却因地震引起堵车而在与编辑见面时迟到，因此失去连载机会。十年后的圣诞节那天，她与陌生算命女子一见如故，次日身亡，却不料命运就此偏离了轨迹，她如一梦醒来，竟然发现自己回到十年前。　　这部可称此类作品“开山鼻祖”的作品，为日后的模仿或超越之作提供了原形，同时定下了“昨日重来”的类型片的几个规则：　　·情人只是配角，一起转转才是同伴　　·“未来的记忆”可能带来名利，却不会带来真正的幸福。　　游子在第一次“重生”中，选择将他人的漫画先行画出，却发现那样并不能真正达成自己的愿望。她终于明白抄别人的漫画还是不行，只有自己的才能永恒拥有，在最后的那次选择中，她画出“自己真正想画的漫画”——也许这正是作者藤子·F·不二雄的希望和心声啊！　　除了主演清水美砂和工藤静香外，“被盗窃的漫画作者们”如高桥留美子小姐，都在片中客串他们本人，也算相当有趣的特色。

原作是柳川圭子的著作《护士结婚活动!?迷路的护士们接二连三成婚的护士专门婚姻咨询所的故事》。主人公是护士专业相亲咨询所“护士之友”的代表横山阳子。原本是护士，自己也有多年婚活经验的阳子，用不齿的语言引导婚活迷成婚的孩子们，被称为领袖人物。无法戒掉和医生的不伦之恋，无法和坏男人分手，无法忘记前男友等，为没有结果的恋爱而烦恼的护士们，在阳子的手腕下结婚了。

　　十六年前，日本通过了《公序良俗健全育成法》，从此往后，一切和“性”相关的信息和字眼就此从世界上彻底消失，公民素质因此而大大提高，整个国家变得无比健康清新。时冈学园是以风纪严明闻名全国的名校，而平凡的高中生奥间狸吉（小林裕介 配音）即将在这里展开全新的校园生活。　　一场意外 令狸吉被卷入了一个名为“SOX”的邪恶恐怖组织的阴谋之中，组织中为首的华城绫女（石上静香 配音）竟然是时冈学园学生会的副会长！外表稚嫩，内心老成的早乙女乙女（新井里美 配音），有着同可爱外貌极不相称的腹黑本质的鬼头鼓修理（堀江由衣 配音），在这些“恐怖分子”们的围绕之下，狸吉的生活会发生怎样翻天覆地的变化呢？

章总章总，有个大人物要见你。正在埋头看文件的章雨抬头瞥了他一眼又低头，才悠悠地问，哪个大人物要见我？顾东阳。哦，我还以为什么了不得的大人物呢。顾东阳，不认识。章雨漫不经心的说。我怎么说也跟你同在一个屋檐下住了无数个日夜，你居然说不认识我，是不是非得我做点什么你才能想起我是谁？顾东阳英姿笔挺的走进来，全然不顾里面的人惊讶的眼神直接走到章雨身边捏着她的下巴逼她与他对视，好好看看，认不认识我？

　　如果，樱花掉落的速度是每秒5厘米，那么两颗心需要多久才能靠近？　　少年时，贵树（水橋研二配）和明理（近藤好美配）是形影不离的好朋友，可很快，一道巨大的鸿沟便横亘在两人中间：明理转学，贵树也随着父母工作的调动搬到遥远的鹿儿岛。在搬家前，贵树乘坐新干线千里迢迢和明理相会，在漫长的等待后，茫茫大雪中，两人在枯萎的樱花树下深情相拥，并献出彼此的first kiss，约定着下一次再一起来看樱花。　　时光荏苒，两人竟再没见过，虽然在人海中一直搜寻彼此的身影，但似乎总是徒然。再后来，他们分别有了各自的生活，只是还偶尔会梦到13岁时的这段青涩而美好的感情，才明白当年怎么也说不出口的那个字就是爱。

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.
